When Shannon Siriano Greenwood, a respected leader and entrepreneur, found herself openly sobbing in a public waiting room, she realized FINALLY that something was very wrong. This was the wake-up call that led her on a journey of self-discovery and motivated her to invest in and rely on her network more intentionally. Cultivating supportive relationships in both our professional and personal lives is an essential key to growth and fulfillment, yet many people don’t make this a priority.
Professionally, building and calling on your network is a marketing strategy that is often overlooked. Even though we know word of mouth is a keyway for business to grow, understanding how to harness the power of people talking about you can come from more than viral videos. Personally, having a supportive network allows you to take bigger risks, challenges you to be better, and supports you in growing in ways you simply cannot grow alone.
In this keynote, Shannon shares about her experience recovering from postpartum depression by hosting a “thank you party” where she expressed gratitude by connecting inspiring women to one-another, building an online community of local “Boss Babes” from 100 to over 4,000, planning a women’s conference and launching a membership community that connects ambitious women across industries to learn from one another and truly belong.
This keynote will include personal stories that are energizing, engaging, and sure to inspire audience members to find or build their own communities.
Tickets are limited. Student tickets are $10, AMA Richmond members are $35 and guests and non-members are $45.
