2ND BEST FEST/ Casubi / Coalition Theater
The Coalition Theater is thrilled to present its 7th Annual 2ND BEST FEST, running June 6-8, featuring improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy acts from all over the US, crammed into 3 magical nights at 2 different venues!
Day three of the fest brings you sketch and improv comedy from Washington DC's Casubi and Not your Mother's Daughers, and even more sketch from Raleigh's Newt Work Comedy.

Casubi (cuh-soo-bee) is a DC-based sketch duo created by two sketch-comedians-turned-improvisors-turned-back-to-sketch-comedians. Like their name, Casubi’s show is entirely undefinable; many have tried, and many have failed (exploded).
The duo behind Casubi, Jonah Gordon & Cale Harper, have been nominated for Emmys, Webbys, and delighted audiences at comedy festivals around the continent such as Montreal Sketchfest and the North Carolina Comedy Festival.

Newt Work Comedy is an award winning Sketch and Improv Group from Raleigh NC. Together they have performed all over the East Coast, performing in NYC, DC, Baltimore, and Richmond. They have written for Triangle Sketch, McSweeney's, Points in Case, End of the Bench Sports, and Robot Butt.

Located in Richmond's Downtown Arts District, the mission of the nonprofit Coalition Theater is to build an inclusive space where laughter connects people. Proceeds from 2ND BEST FEST help further this mission, supporting performances, comedic education, and community outreach.
