October - November @ Art Works!

In October Art Works collaborates with CulturalWorks and other galleries with the annual CultureWorks ArtoberVA month long event. We invite visitors to an ArtoberVA scavenger hunt that takes guests throughout the 25,000 square foot facilities, viewing fine art, looking for clues and culminating in a prize. And don’t miss out on participating in the social-media Artober posting challenge. We will be hosting our popular 4th Friday reception and costume party, as well as an artist meet-up and two figure drawing sessions. And if you can't make it to one of these events, don't worry - we're open every day except Mondays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to come see the new art on display. Plus, parking is easy at the public garage on East 5th Street. And we’ll validate your ticket, just ask in the office. But that's not all - make a day of it by exploring the restaurants in the area for a delicious meal. Choose from Basic City Beer, Continental, Pig and Brew, Jubilee, Iron Clad Pizza, Stock, and The Gold Lion, to name a few, Exhibits include What Once Was, Still Is, Just Different by Joshua Leland Yurges, The Altar America Project, Textile Tales of Interiors by Sarah Wiley and Dark Art—an all-media juried show. The exhibits continue through November 10, 2024. Joshua Leland Yurges’ exhibit continues through November 16, 2024. The event is free and open to the public. Don't forget, parking is also free. Come and join us for a night of art and celebration. Then have dinner at one of the restaurants in Manchester.
