Men's Day Speaker
RICHMOND, Va. — The Rev. Dr. Steve Parker of Atlanta, formerly of St. Peter Baptist Church in Glen Allen, will return to Richmond Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025, as the Men’s Day speaker for Second Baptist Church (West End), 1400 Idlewood Avenue, Richmond, VA.
Dr. Parker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Hampton University, and the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Virginia Union University.
Dr. Parker was licensed to preach at Shiloh Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia. He was subsequently ordained at the Cedar Street Baptist Church of God in Richmond and later served as the Director of Ministries at St. Peter.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Parker back to the Richmond area,” said Rev. Dr. James Henry Harris, pastor of Second Baptist. “We invite everyone to join us Sunday Morning as we celebrate Black men.”
