The Reno Cure, A Living History Performance
The Washoe Valley Forum hosts a living history performance, “The Reno Cure.” Local authors and historians David & Gayle Woodruff assume the characters of wrangler Clive, and cook/housekeeper Vivian, that worked at a Washoe Valley “divorce ranch” from the mid-1940s to the early 1960s. They'll recount the history and importance of the divorce industry to Reno and Western Nevada during that time, with lots of anecdotes and little know aspects of this unique Nevada industry.
