“The Principles of Interior Design” Masterclass @ JB Duke Hotel
The JB Duke Hotel, a premier, AAA Four Diamond hotel property located on Duke University's campus, is hosting a free masterclass, titled “The Principles of Interior Design,” on Wednesday, March 6 from 5-7 p.m. in the Atrium. Led by husband-and-wife duo Carrie and Dan Moore of Carrie Moore Interior Design, guests will take a deep dive into how to work with a space and tackle a design project
from start to finish using the various elements of design: space, balance, color, texture, pattern, materiality, lighting, furnishings and more.

Durham-based Carrie Moore Interior Design shapes environments with intentionality and a nature-inspired, warm-modern bias. As a member of the American Society of Interior Designers, Co-Founder and Principal Interior Designer Carrie Moore has over a decade of experience in the industry creating vibrant, livable spaces that mirror her six design principles: sustainability, focus on nature, locality, craftsmanship and customization, simplicity and integrative branding. Carrie’s partner, Co-Founder Dan Moore, has leveraged his entrepreneurial mind and spirit alongside his business acumen to shape the growth of Carrie Moore Interior Design since its founding in 2017.
Carrie Moore Interior Design’s masterclass is part of the “Dive Into Durham” Masterclass Series – a free weekly program hosted by the JB Duke Hotel and the neighboring Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in which experts from across the Triangle area share their professional insights and insider tips to help hotel guests and community members develop personally and professionally.
