From a Distant Past

Dance Visions NY, under the direction of Beth Jucovy, presents a a new intimate rendition of their major poetry/dance work, Morning Afternoon Evening, retitled "From a Distant Past." The piece is based on an original symbolic poem by Great Neck native Kyra Jucovy. With a mix of live dance with 5 dancers, recorded word spoken by actress Tzena Nicole, music, and background imagery, the work is an immersive experience portraying a symbolic journey following a river over the course of a day. The program includes discussion of the artwork with the artists after the performance.
