SaturBAY 2026: Making It Happen and Manifesting a Field Station for Flushing Bay
SaturBAY is Guardians of Flushing Bay's annual end-of-season celebration and online fundraiser! Celebrate with us IN-PERSON at a free family-friendly, art-focused Climate Week cookout and ONLINE by donating to our work. Our 2026 theme is “Making it Happen: Manifesting A Field Station for Flushing Bay,” where we will come together to imagine radical, inclusive, and equitable futures for the Flushing Bay waterfront and celebrate a floating field station coming to the Bay in 2027!
The in-person event starts with a scavenger hunt and walking tour from Flushing Meadows Corona Park (FMCP) to the cookout site at the FMCP Public Kayak/Canoe Launch. The scavenger hunt and walking tour runs from 11am-1pm and the cookout runs from 1pm-3pm.
At the cookout, we'll have live music, food, and art workshops. All activities and food are FREE with registration. The event is being hosted on parkland which means all Parks Department rules apply to this event, including the prohibition of alcohol or smoking on site.
