For the third consecutive year, five popular local media figures will present insightful talks about their careers this October, when Rydal Park continuing care retirement community presents its 3rd Annual Rydal Park Lively Fall Speaker Series. The series will again be hosted by veteran Daily News columnist and Rydal Park resident Harry Gross, with all talks free and open to the public on a limited, reserved-seating basis by calling 877-933-6699.
This talk will be hosted by Lisa Hostein. Hostein was executive editor of the Jewish Exponent, where she began her career in the mid-80s, from 2009 to 2015. Under her leadership, the paper was named the best non-daily newspaper in Pennsylvania and in Philadelphia. Prior to her return there, she was editor of JTA, the international Jewish news agency. With numerous journalism awards from the Society for Professional Journalists and the Pennsylvania Newspaper Association, she is also a recipient of the award for Distinguished Service to Jewish Journalism from the American Jewish Press Association. She has traveled extensively, exploring and writing about Jewish communities in many other countries.
