An Afternoon with Khalilah Camacho Ali
Join us for an afternoon with Dr. Khalilah Camacho Ali - author, humanitarian, journalist, pilot, black belt, and former wife of boxing great Muhammad Ali. Dr. Ali, born Belinda Boyd in Chicago, married Muhammad Ali at the age of 17 in 1967; the couple divorced in 1977. Dr. Ali will discuss her extraordinary life with Ali and her personal healing, reclamation, and achievements after their divorce, as detailed in her 2023 book UNDEFEATED. Dr. Ali will also present readings from her book.
Adults 18 and up only, please. Light refreshments included. Please note, seating capacity is limited and library staff may need to limit attendance to ensure compliance with safety codes.
