Wickford Art Association Presents “Only Squares Apply” – A Unique Celebration of Shape and Creativity
North Kingstown, RI –The Wickford Art Association (WAA) is pleased to announce the upcoming exhibit “Only Squares Apply”, on display at the WAA Gallery from May 23rd through June 22nd . This distinctive show challenges artists to explore creativity within the boundaries of a square format, resulting in a bold and balanced collection of work across all media.
All entries in this exhibit adhere to the square format requirement, showcasing the power of constraint as a source of innovation. This year's exhibit was juried by Kevin Gilmore, a respected artist and educator known for his discerning eye and commitment to supporting emerging and established creatives. Gilmore's selections reflect a wide range of styles and subject matter, unified by strong composition and square dimensions.
An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, May 23rd from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM free and open to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists, engage with the juror, and enjoy light refreshments while exploring the exhibit.
The WAA Gallery is located at 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI. Gallery hours are Wednesday–Saturday 12–4 PM and Sunday 12–3 PM. Admission is free, and all artwork is available for purchase.
