West Place Animal Sanctuary is hosting a Spring Visitors Weekend unlike any other. Don’t miss our first public event of the year and your first opportunity to meet Alfie the baby emu! He's cute, he's hilarious, and he won't be a baby for much longer. Learn about his journey to West Place, why we have a baby emu in the first place, and what the future holds for Alfie.
We’re also unveiling our brand new electric vehicle for special driving tours of the sanctuary at 4PM each day. The CRU car can accommodate 5 guests and makes the sanctuary fully accessible to those who cannot participate in a walking tour.
Plus, we’re honoring our dedicated volunteers with The Presidential Volunteer Service Awards, a national community service award through Points of Light and managed by AmeriCorps. There will also be a spring plant sale, and the West Place Gift Shop has hand-made items you won’t find anywhere else.
