Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast
Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 19, at the Tirrell Room located at 254 Quarry St. in Quincy.
US Army Air Corps (ret.) Brigadier General Enoch “Woody” Woodhouse will be the event’s keynote speaker. He served with the famed 332nd Fighter Group, the Tuskegee Airmen—the first all-Black military aviators in the U.S. Army Air Corps—and in recognition of his service received the Congressional Gold Medal in 2007 and was later appointed a Brigadier General and Attaché of the Massachusetts Militia.
Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast event will begin at 9 a.m. and no registration is required for this free event. If you have any questions, contact the mayor’s office at 617-376-1990. Damion Outar, Quincy Community Liaison, will be the Master of Ceremonies.
