PurpleStride Rhode Island 2026
Join the Rhode Island affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) for PurpleStride Rhode Island 2026, a free, family-friendly walk and fundraiser to end pancreatic cancer. This annual event brings together survivors, caregivers, families, and supporters to honor loved ones, celebrate survivors, and raise funds for critical research and patient services.
Participants can walk in honor or memory of someone affected by pancreatic cancer while supporting efforts to improve early detection, treatment, and outcomes for patients.Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers, with a five-year survival rate of just 13 percent, according to the National Cancer Society. Increased awareness and funding are urgently needed to support patients locally and nationwide
Featured speaker Anna Berkenblit, MD, MMSc, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer at PanCAN, will share remarks, and Mike Montecalvo of WPRI 12 will return as emcee.
