Studies show that spending time in nature can decrease stress, improve immune function among other benefits. Come to the program Forest Bathing: Sensory Nature Walk at Seekonk Library on Friday, June 7 at 10 AM to experience these benefits in a leisurely walk in the outdoors. In this ninety-minute program Certified Forest Therapy Guide Mary Jane Sorrentino will lead you on a slow, quiet walk outdoors that engages your five senses. Come savor our beautiful natural surroundings. Participants should dress appropriately in layers and bring lightweight seating or a towel you will carry as you will spend half the program sitting outdoors. You may want to bring a water bottle/snack. Space is limited; registration is required.
Participants must sign a waiver available at the library prior to the walk. For the walk, participants will meet at the Seekonk Meadows sign at the top of the library parking lot.
Rain date: Saturday, June 29
