This is a unique opportunity to hear from professionals in the field who have experience applying this principle in their work.
This topic comes at a time when the unhoused cycle through ER's, clinics, hospitals and facilities only to return to the streets. We know there is a 60% higher mortality rate for individuals who are homeless than those housed. In January 2024, 539 people were sleeping outdoors or in cars, in RI alone. It's time we acknowledge the disparities, barriers and find strategies and solutions.
If you work in the social work field, or have concerns about the external conditions that affect your community, we want you to be part of the conversation as we seek answers with a panel of professionals who have learned a few things along the way. Always, the hope is that we can build new solutions to help people live healthy, fulfilling lives.
