Walking Tour! College Hill's Temporary Public Art

On May 6th and 12th, emerging public artist and Brown RISD Dual Degree student Naya Lee Chang will give walking tours of her temporary public sculptures on College Hill. The 5 site-specific pieces include architectural parodies, monument interventions, and street art. The works' sponsors include the RISD Museum, Brown Arts Institute, and the Public Art Working Group at Brown University. This event is free and open to the public! No tickets are required. It is family friendly, and snacks will be provided. Meet at 79 Brown Street at 11am for a 45-minute tour (rain or shine!). Many of the sculptures explored in the tour will be gone by mid-May. Don't miss your chance to see unique pieces and hear about the artist's research and process! Naya's practice involves investigating the history and visual idiosyncrasies of sites on College Hill to create varied works that remix spaces in delightful and thoughtful ways. Please contact [email protected] to request accessibility accommodations.
