RI Wild Plant Society - Fall Native Plant Sale
On Saturday, 24 August 2024 from 9 to 11 am find over 1,200 native perennials, grasses, ferns, shrubs and trees at our booth in the parking lot adjacent to the Pawtuxet Village Farmers Market, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston RI. We feature late blooming plants that provide the nutrient-rich nourishment required by pollinators at this time of year. Choose from spring and summer blooming plants as well. By giving these plants a head start to develop strong root systems they will be ready to flourish next season! (Closer to the sale a plant species list will be available at our website.)
We specialize in species, native to ecoregion 59 which includes almost all of Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts, and sections of New York, New Hampshire and Maine. As much as possible we source our plants from local seeds. Our plants are genetically suited to thrive in our local growing conditions and to support the complex webs of interactions that sustain our local flora and fauna.
