Writers Live at the Library: The 14 Gold Street Series Presents Richard Zenith
Writer Richard Zenith will join us at the library for a reading and conversation. Widely considered to be one of the world’s experts on the Portuguese writer, Fernando Pessoa (1888-1935), Zenith's landmark biography of Pessoa was a finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize. The Pulitzer Prize nomination describes Zenith’s Pessoa: A Biography as “ a modern literary masterpiece, … [which] simultaneously immortalizes the life of a literary maestro and confirms the enduring power of Pessoa’s work to speak prophetically to the disconnectedness of our modern world.” Richard Zenith is visiting Wickford from his home in Lisbon, Portugal. This program is part of the 14 Gold Street spiritual refuge series developed by Fr. Spencer Reece, award-winning poet and rector of St. Paul's Church in Wickford.
