Internationally based Dan Moretti & BRAZILIA showcases an all-star set of performers from the US, Peru, Ukraine, and Columbia. The all-Berklee faculty with a world view gives the band a special flavor when it comes to playing Latin and Brazilian Jazz. The members have toured and recorded with a who’s-who in the jazz world including: Paquito, Dave Liebman, Mike Stern, Dave Samuels, Nat Adderley, and Jimmy Cobb to name a few. The feel in a perfect mix of Latin Rhythms and Jazz supported by 4 time Grammy winner Oscar Stagnaro on bass. Dan Moretti & Brazilia is a premier Latin jazz ensemble led by internationally acclaimed saxophonist, composer, and educator Dan Moretti . A 2017 inductee into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame , Moretti has spent over 30 years at the forefront of the jazz and R&B worlds, performing alongside legends like Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and Nile Rodgers & Chic.
The ensemble, Brazilia, is a "supergroup" of world-class musicians that blends the sophisticated structures of straight-ahead jazz with the infectious energy of Latin rhythms. Their latest project, Celebrating Wayne Shorter: Live at the Pump House Music Works (2025), has received critical acclaim, topping the Roots Music Report (RMR) and Jazz Week charts and spending over 20 weeks on national jazz radio charts.
