We HeART Fall River Festival

On Saturday, May 11th the 4th annual We HeART Fall River Festival will take place in Downtown Fall River from 12 pm – 4 pm. This family-friendly event is free to attend and will take place on the south side of the Government Center along Sullivan Drive and include vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, arts activities, and community resources. This annual community festival invites attendees to come together in a unified celebration of the power of the arts and culture to make a difference and to change our lives and our City for the better. The event is presented by the Fall River Arts & Culture Coalition (FRACC) and Viva Fall River, in partnership with The City of Fall River, The Narrows Center for the Arts, and the Fall River Farmers & Artisans Market, with support from the Mass Cultural Council and the Fall River Cultural Council. This 1-day festival takes place annually around Government Center in downtown Fall River as part of ArtWeek SouthCoast, a 10-day regional celebration of the place and presence of the arts in our communities that includes organizations and artists from Wareham to Fall River and everywhere in between. The We HeART Fall River Festival invites hundreds of attendees, regardless of abilities, to a welcoming environment for families. Residents and visitors of all backgrounds enjoy a free cultural event, where they can experience arts and culture through live music, dance performances, and STEAM activities all led by local creatives and organizations, like the Greater Fall River Children’s Museum. The Festival features a Makers Market showcasing work by 40 local artisans; a community resource fair where attendees can engage with various social service and community agencies; a variety of food trucks; and free groceries distributed in partnership with Citizens for Citizens that provide essential support to those facing food insecurity, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable accessing the festival's offerings.
