Imago Filmmaking workshop coming up October 25
Join Imago filmmaker Katherine Reaves in a beginning-level filmmaking workshop at Imago Gallery, 36 Market Street, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.
Designed for those 18 years of age and above, this workshop will introduce the aspiring filmmaker to the basics of film language through practice and doing. The workshop requires a smartphone or camera capable of taking video, plus enthusiasm and curiosity.
Although the workshop is designed for beginners, participants should know how to take a selfie and work their phone or camera. The goal is to enable you to take this experience with you to your own projects and provide a starting point to learn more.
Because filmmaking is a time-intensive art form, the session will be limited to 10 people. Each participant will provide footage for a final film that we will edit together on site as each person shares their experiences in capturing their footage. Fee for the workshop is $20.
