Newport NewWorks Musical Theatre Festival 2026
Newport NewWorks 2026 Musical Theater Festival is back for our 2nd season and will feature a work-in-progress developmental presentation of: THE DEBUTANTES, a new original musical by Sam Norman and Eliza Randall. Featuring Broadway-level talent, THE DEBUTANTES tracks the meteoric rise — and quiet erasure — of the improbable female codebreakers of Bletchley Park in 1940 war-torn Britain.

ABOUT NEWPORT NEWWORKS:
The Newport NewWorks Musical Theater Festival is dedicated to providing a nurturing and creative space for both emerging and established artists to develop and refine their work-in-progress musicals. Each summer, we bring together a diverse group of artists for a two-week residency focused on collaboration, innovation, and artistic growth in beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. The residency is focused on the development of specific new musicals selected through a rigorous application process. The festival culminates in public workshop performances of the works where audiences get a rare glimpse of the heart of the creative process.
