SnapLab: Photography Studio Sessions is a hands-on introductory photography course designed for teens and adults interested in building confidence with photography, creative storytelling, and visual composition. Through guided instruction, collaborative studio sessions, and real-world photo walks, participants will explore the foundations of digital photography while developing their own artistic perspective.
Each session combines technical learning with creative experimentation, covering topics such as composition, lighting, editing, and image selection in an approachable and supportive environment. Participants will apply new skills through guided photo walks throughout New Bedford before returning to the Museum for collaborative critique, editing, and discussion.
The program also includes a free introductory community photo walk on July 11, offering participants and newcomers an opportunity to explore photography in a relaxed, social setting before the full course begins. SnapLab is designed not only to teach photography skills, but also to foster a growing creative community where emerging photographers can connect, collaborate, and build confidence together.
