Samhain Irish Rambling House
Welcome back to the Rambling House! As the darker season approaches (Samhain) we’re all drawing in to keep ourselves warm and our fires lit. Won’t you consider joining us for a day of celebration? This open house-style event showcases all that’s great about Irish culture - hospitality, music, singing, dancing, conversation, food and more! Help us raise much-needed funds to support our ongoing cultural programming while meeting folks in the Portland community and beyond who share similar interests. The event begins with a welcoming large group session followed by an hour of cultural programming (slow session, tune learning, singing circle, comhrá Gaeilge, dancing workshop and more TBD). We’ll recharge our batteries with our ever-impressive potluck, and finally end the night with An Céilà Mór (a great big social dance)! Bring a costume and a friend, bring a dish and a song, and welcome in the new year (the Irish one) with warmth and light. Suggested donation $10 at the door.
