This Friday, August 15, The Ritz-Carlton, Portland is partnering with Orox for a unique event to celebrate National Leathercraft Day. Portlanders are invited to stop by Meadowrue, the hotel’s lobby bar and lounge, for a pop-up shop featuring leather goods from Orox. Guests of the hotel will receive a complimentary Orox leather keychain and custom embossing, while those not staying at the hotel can receive the keychain and embossing with a purchase of the event’s signature cocktail, The Leatherneck. Alongside the keychains, additional leather goods will also be available for purchase and can be embossed onsite.
The Leatherneck cocktail is inspired by the US Marines uniform, which used to include a high leather collar. It is made with Dewar’s 12 The Ancestor, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, pineapple gomme, and cedar extract and crafted to be comfortably smooth and just stiff enough.
