Free Presentation: 31 Women; Oregon wouldn't be the same without them!
As part of Caples House Museum's Annual Harvest Festival, Darrell Jabin, Oregon's Traveling Historian, will share his presentation on 31 women and discuss their impact on Oregon's history. They were pioneers, historians, authors, innovators, and leaders in business and government. These women have provided unique contributions to early explorations, to opportunities for Oregonians, to the growth of businesses, and to our culture. Some of these women you may be familiar with and some you will have the opportunity to learn about in this special presentation.
Darrell Jabin has been researching and sharing Oregon history for many years. Find and follow Oregon's Traveling Historian on several social media platforms.
Caples House Museum Harvest Festival is free and open to all ages. In addition to this special presentation, spend the afternoon (12:00-5:00) with us for pioneer era crafts, demonstrations, games, stories, apple cider pressing, bake sale, museum tours ($5 adults/$4 children), raffle chances, concessions for purchase, and more. It's a fun day to enjoy a short drive out Hwy 30, where Caples House Museum overlooks the Columbia River.
