The famous Christian nativity story turned into an inspirational musical by Langston Hughes features an all-African-American cast. This is a professional production of the Erie Theater Company, presented by Lancaster Seminary and co-produced by Lancaster residents Dominique Denman and Kellie Turner. Don't miss this celebration of faith and resiliency! Register now. Seating in the Seminary's historic Santee Chapel is limited. There is no charge for tickets. A free-will donation will go to the Seminary's Nathan Baxter Fund for African American Studies.
The producers say, "This production delivers a fresh and inspiring take on the original musical. It encourages theatergoers to continue to have faith and celebrate resiliency. Black people in Lancaster, and all over the country, have had to overcome a lot, especially in the past few years, but we are still here and persevere because of the birth of Jesus Christ. Our faith in, and our love for Jesus something to celebrate!"
