Treasure Coast Theatre presents the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning drama "Proof"
Catherine is a troubled young woman who has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable mathematician father, abandoning her own dreams as a result, During the weekend of her 25th birthday, Catherine must deal with the recent death of her father, the arrival of her estranged sister, and the attentions of her father's former student, who hopes to find valuable work in her father's old notebooks. Following her father's funeral, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her father's madness-or genius-will she inherit?
“Proof” received two Drama Desk Awards, three Tony Awards - including for best Play, and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play was also made into a major motion picture with Anthony Hopkins, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Hope Davis.
