The Sky's the Limit for Students and Jobseekers
MARTIN COUNTY (March 31, 2023) - On April 19th, Sky Blue Jet Aviation will host a thrilling fundraiser to support the Stuart/ Martin County Chamber's workforce development department. The event named for its boundless prizes, Sky's the Limit, is presented by Treasure Coast Toyota and is open to the public. Guests will enjoy a live auction with Elliot Paul and Company and jet planes, fast boats, and glamourous cars on exhibit. Tickets are $10 and include appetizers, entertainment, and two drinks.
Unlimited chances to bid on vacations, electronics, unique experiences, recreational land, and more are not the only benefits to attending this exciting fundraiser at Witham Field. Supporting the event helps to strengthen and grow our local workforce. Proceeds raised at Sky's the Limit will benefit Career Connect Martin and scholarships for students of any age, seeking certifications in vocational and technical careers. Hosting an event at a local flight school makes for more than a thrilling backdrop. The location represents the aviation industry, just one of Martin County's contributory industries with boundless high-paying career opportunities.

About the Chamber's Workforce Development Department
Career Connect Martin was established in January 2022, answering a call from the Martin County Board of County Commissioners to assist businesses recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic which left them with a reduced workforce. The mission is to strengthen Martin County businesses with concierge style recruitment, job placement and training programs that attract, develop, and prepare local talent for positive impacts on the marketplace. The program, which has an 84% success rate, helps individuals pursue a path to higher earnings. Career Connect Martin provides one-on-one coaching, resume writing, mock interviews, DISC analysis, team strength and communication workshops, employer matching, soft skill training, and paid Trial Employment Opportunities. For jobseekers with barriers, the program provides stipends for transportation, childcare, equipment or tools, and uniforms. In addition, Career Connect offers scholarships for continued learning, neighborhood hiring events, and industry tours. The department motto is "you must SEE it - to DREAM it - to BE It".
