Nashville Singer-Songwriters to Perform at Palm Beach Songwriters Under the Stars
Ron Saunders, Event Chair, announces the return of Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Palm Beach Songwriters Under the Stars on Saturday, April 29, 2023, 6:30 PM at Hobe Sound Polo Club. Back by popular demand after a pause, the new venue will showcase both Nashville and local singer-songwriters for a night of song, dinner, cocktails, live and silent auctions and the Foundation’s signature Bid for a Cure.
Emerging and accomplished artists serve as the main event of the evening – and the fun continues afterwards with a local closing band. The featured headliner is West Palm Beach native Jamie Floyd, a Nashville based two-time Grammy-nominated independent songwriter & recording artist. She has written songs recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, Miranda Lambert, Ronnie Dunn, Cassadee Pope, Hayden Panettiere, Kellie Picker, and more. She will be joined on stage by Rebecca Lynn Howard and Rachel Thibodeau, both with chart-topping songwriting credits.
Saunders is passionate about finding a cure. “When my cousin, Jennifer McKinnon, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF), she was not expected to live until adult hood. Progress through CF Foundation funded research has helped her to live an awesome life, including going to college, marrying, and raising two beautiful daughters,” Saunders said. “While she has made great strides, there is still much work to be done to develop treatments and ultimately a cure for every person with CF.”
