In honor of October’s designation as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, author and grief specialist Hayley Wilds, MA, LPC, CGP, will present “Honoring your Baby Through Art: a Pregnancy Loss Grief Workshop” on Sunday, October 12th, from 10:30am to 12noon at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh (CLP) Squirrel Hill Branch. This experiential workshop was designed especially for pregnancy loss survivors by an art therapist who knows firsthand what it feels like to lose a baby. Wilds created this workshop, and others like it, to offer validation, support, and vital tools to help loss survivors process their experience.
Participants will create their own take-home keepsake and learn how art-making and creative expression can help them honor their baby and help them heal. All loss parents are welcome – moms, dads, and couples. Purchasing a ticket to this workshop would also make a thoughtful gift for friends or family who have suffered pregnancy or infant loss. The CLP Squirrel Hill library offers a comfortable private meeting space, and convenient, safe parking (free on Sundays) in the library’s indoor garage.
Space is limited. For more information, and to reserve your seat, visit Honoring Your Baby Through Art.
