Bulgarika
A rare opportunity to hear Bulgarian music played and sung by artists from Bulgaria, using Bulgarian folk instruments. Donka Koleva has been a featured singer on Bulgarian television and radio. With her will be an instrumental ensemble of gadulka (a sort of fiddle), kaval (a sort of flute), tambura (like a guitar), and tupan (a large, two-pitched drum). Bulgarika will be on a US tour and we are lucky to have them at Allegheny Church! (Please note: Allegheny Church is not accessible to people who have difficulty negotiating stairs.)
