Academy String Quartet
The Academy String Quartet plays the Haydn "Sunrise" quartet and a lovely early work of Franz Schubert, plus Vaughan Williams Rhosymedre and Autumn Leaves for two violins by Elaine Fine. Beautiful Allegheny Church, built in 1905, is an intimate setting for our friendly, informal concerts. However, it is not accessible to people who have difficulty negotiating stairs. The Academy String Quartet is Jorie Butler-Geyer and Leah Givelber, violins, Warren Davidson, viola, and Cecilia Caughman, cello.
