Curator Ann Hedlund Presents on Renowned Artist Mac Schweitzer at Western Spirit
A cultural anthropologist and former curator at Western Spirit, Ann offers both personal connection and scholarly insight as she shares the story of her late mother-in-law, whose art captured the spirit of the Southwest through vivid landscapes, wildlife studies, and expressive cultural scenes. This program complements the exhibition Mac Schweitzer: A Southwest Maverick and Her Art and will conclude with a book signing of Ann’s accompanying publication. For only $10 for just the program, or free with museum admission or membership, join Western Spirit from 6 pm to 7:30 for this special evening on honoring and celebrating Mac Schweitzer’s timeless artwork.
