Bob Diercksmeier is a Phoenix native and an abstract contemporary landscape artist whose work is inspired by the Sonoran desert. Diercksmeier is excited to unveil his newest art exhibit, Time & Place: Contemplations on Landscapes and Color, that will be on display at The Gallery at The Madison, an art exhibition space in Uptown Phoenix, from Jan. 26 to June 7, 2024.
Diercksmeier has always had a love for the Arizona landscape. He began his career as a freelance illustrator, art director and fine art landscape painter. In 2018, he expanded his subject matter to include a more abstract representation of the landscape. However, he began a new series of works in 2020 that focused on color interaction, using non-representational shapes and fields of pigment, juxtaposed with and layered on top of each other to create differing results using the same colors.
Arizonans are invited to attend the gallery opening of Diercksmeier’s show, on Jan. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the lobby of The Madison Center for the Arts. This celebration will include a meet and greet with Diercksmeier and a first look at his art pieces.
