St. Joseph the Worker Presents First Annual Be the Impact Happy Hour

Event admission is $50, with proceeds directly supporting St. Joseph the Worker's mission to assist homeless, low-income and other disadvantaged individuals in their efforts to become self-sufficient through quality employment. During the event, attendees will have the unique opportunity to connect with influential community leaders and advocates, enjoy a selection of fine beers and wines, indulge in delectable small plates and take in the breathtaking sunset views — all while supporting a good cause. For $100, guests can also partake in three swings on a state-of-the-art golf simulator for a chance to win Taylor Made Stealth Irons, a Callaway Paradym driver, an Apple Watch or a two-night resort stay at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. The Be the Impact happy hour marks a new chapter in SJW's fundraising endeavors, as it aims to raise $150,000 to propel the nonprofit's life-changing mission. The event will include two founding members of SJW who will match all donations up to $25,000, effectively tripling the impact of every donation made that evening. The Be the Impact happy hour event is completely funded by SJW’s Impact sponsor, Clayco. Other generous sponsors include Changemaker sponsor, Family CFO, and Trendsetter sponsor, Power Design Inc. Additionally, Clayco's Executive Vice President, Residential Business Unit Leader, Eric Jaegers, will serve as the event chair, ensuring the success of this impactful gathering. About St. Joseph the Worker St. Joseph The Worker (SJW) was formed in 1988 in response to the unhoused community saying, “we want to work, but don’t have the tools”. Since then, SJW has been forging pathways to self-sufficiency with employment at the core, believing the only way out of poverty is a paycheck. Common barriers clients face when looking for and upon finding stable employment include access to transportation, money for interview and uniform attire, lack of certifications for the role, and housing. By breaking down barriers clients often face when job searching, SJW is providing an opportunity for clients to build a sustainable life free of government assistance.
