Celebrate life, faith, and remembrance at the 12th Annual Dia de los Muertos Festival!
Join Saint Mary's Basilica for a day filled with mariachi, ballet folklórico, live music by Rhythm Nation, food trucks, kids' activities, a car show, local artisan market and a beautiful community ofrenda (altar). Bring a non-original photo of a loved one to place on the altar. (No lit candles allowed.)
There also will be a Día de los Muertos Mass starting at 11:30 a.m. After the Mass, there will be a procession with Aztec dancers, followed by a Blessing of the ofrenda (altar), release of monarch butterflies and Taps with American Legion Post 41. The complete entertainment schedule will be posted on the Basilica's website. Parking is available in the Diocesan Parking Garage, or in multiple garages in the downtown.
The festival is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a donation of non-perishable food to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank.
