10th Annual Día de los Muertos Festival
The 10th annual Día de los Muertos Festival, celebrating the art of life, faith, and remembrance, will be held at St. Mary's Basilica in Downtown Phoenix. This family-friendly event is open to the public and free of charge, with a suggested donation of non-perishable food to benefit the St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, including catrinas, mariachi, ballet folklorico, a local artisan market, free kids' activities, a car show, a dozen local food trucks and live entertainment. Entertainment includes: Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ, Mariachi Juvenil de Mi Tierra, Tongan dancers, and the award-winning Latin Jazz group Carmela Y Más. A community ofrenda (altar) will also be on display to honor and remember our loved ones.
