Early Bird Registration Now Available for Girls Mentorship’s Pursue More Summer Camp

Strong girls build themselves — through friendships and leadership and learning how to use their voice. This “big build” energy is fueling the “Power Tools” theme of this year’s Pursue More Summer Camp, a week-long confidence and leadership experience designed for girls ages 10-13. Now entering its fifth year, the camp provides a safe space for girls to talk about real-life topics while building skills they will carry into the school year and beyond. Hosted by Girls Mentorship, a Scottsdale-based youth leadership and confidence-building organization, the high-energy program attracts hundreds of campers each year. Registration for this year’s series of week-long camps opens beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. Camp sessions run June 1-5, June 8-12, June 15-19 and June 22-26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Girls may attend one week or return for two, three or all four sessions. Each week features new guest speakers, activities and challenges. Registration will remain open until sessions are full, after which a waitlist will open. Camp sells out every year. Although the camp itself is geared toward younger girls, teens ages 14-18 may apply to serve as Peer Leaders, gaining hands-on mentorship and leadership experience while guiding younger campers. Confidence challenges are accelerating. According to Girls Mentorship, seven in 10 girls report struggling with comparison or not feeling good enough in areas including appearance, performance and relationships. What’s more, national research shows girls’ confidence levels drop significantly during adolescence, particularly between the elementary and high school years. Pursue More Summer Camp was designed to intervene at this critical stage. Families who enroll their daughters secure more than a summer activity. They invest in an experience built to strengthen self-worth, deepen friendships and teach practical life skills. Campers return home energized and inspired. They walk into the new school year speaking up for themselves and stepping into opportunities without hesitation. Each day is built around the camp’s proven P.O.W.E.R. curriculum: • Perspective – Seeing challenges as opportunities • Ownership – Taking responsibility for choices and confidence • Worthiness – Knowing she is enough without comparison • Empowerment – Learning to speak up and take action • Reassurance – Building resilience to handle setbacks Signature experiences include the All-Camp Talent Show, where girls challenge themselves in front of peers, and the Secret Buddy program, where campers anonymously encourage one another throughout the week. Throughout the week, Campers also hear from accomplished women across industries including media, entrepreneurship, fashion, design and entertainment. Past speakers have included newscasters, entrepreneurs, creatives and Miss Arizona, giving girls visible examples of leadership across diverse paths. Pursue More Summer Camp is open to girls ages 10-13. Peer Leader opportunities are available for teens ages 14-18. Girls Mentorship was founded by Jill Petersen and Mary Frances, youth development leaders with more than 20 years of combined mentorship experience. Both are trained in social emotional learning, youth mental health first aid and adverse childhood experiences awareness. They developed the research-informed P.O.W.E.R. curriculum to equip girls with practical tools for confidence, resilience and connection. Registration opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 23. Waitlist options will be available. Camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Weekly sessions include:  Session 1: June 1-5  Session 2: June 8-12  Session 3: June 15-19  Session 4: June 22-26 Girls are encouraged to attend multiple sessions as each week brings new challenges, guest speakers and more. Girls Mentorship is a youth leadership and confidence-building organization dedicated to helping tween and teen girls build resilience, self-worth and practical life skills.
