Food City is turning up the heat with the return of its annual Hatch Chile Recipe Contest! From now through August 29, 2025, Arizona shoppers are invited to share their most flavorful Hatch chile creations for a chance to win up to $500 in prizes.

and submit your recipe and photo at mifoodcity.com/hatchchilecontest
. Three winners will be announced on September 12, 2025:
1st Place: $500 in prizes ($400 Food City gift card + $100 Target gift card)
2nd Place: $300 in prizes ($200 Food City gift card + $100 Target gift card)
3rd Place: $200 Food City gift card
Along with the contest, Food City’s 46 Arizona stores are celebrating Hatch chile season with fresh and roasted chiles, in-store roasts (select locations), Hatch chile bakery items, sausages, salsas, guacamole, and more.
🌶️ Fun Fact: One medium Hatch chile has the Vitamin C of six oranges! The fiery flavor also boosts metabolism and has even been used in teas and lozenges to soothe sore throats.
