"For All We Know" Stage Play with Charnele Brown, star of sitcom “A Different World”

The Alzheimer’s Association and Tanner Community Development Corporation are teaming up to bring “For All We Know,” a stage play starring and written by Charnele Brown, star of the late 1980’s/early 1990’s sitcom “A Different World.” The play sheds light on the truth of caring for family members with Alzheimer’s. The partnership was intended to build upon the work of the state’s Alzheimer’s Public Awareness Campaign to better serve underrepresented communities. The play will run for one day only at the Phoenix Center for the Arts on October 5, 2024. Showtimes are at 11:00 a.m. and 3 p.m., with a Panel and Q&A session following each performance. Tickets are just $10, with proceeds covering the cost of the venue. Tickets are available now on the Events page https://tcdccorp.org/events/for-all-we-know/. Currently, there are more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s. Older Black Americans are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease as White Americans. Black Americans are also less likely to receive a timely diagnosis, with many receiving a diagnosis much later in the disease when their medical needs are greater. The goal of this stage play is to reach into underserved communities.
