Score Big on Father’s Day with a Root Beer Bar at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church! North Scottsdale United Methodist Church (NSUMC) invites kid’s in the community to join a special Father’s Day celebration featuring a Root Beer Bar! Building on the winning success of the Mother’s Day Floral Bar, NSUMC is excited to offer an event for kids to package tailgating goodies to gift their dads on Sunday, June 16th, 2024. The celebration kicks off at 10:00 am with a Sunday School lesson for children and youth focused on the MVP dads and other male figures who have provided support, guidance, and wisdom in our lives. Children will then engage in a fun “craft-tivity” to create personalized gifts for their fathers and father figures. At approximately 11:00 am, following the Sunday School class, families will huddle in the fellowship hall to enjoy the Father’s Day Root Beer Bar. The bar will feature Dad’s Root Beer, beef jerky, peanuts, materials for decorating Father’s Day cards, adhesive mustaches, and a photo booth. Families can assemble these items into a goodie bag to present to their favorite father, grandfather, or any other father figure they are grateful for. Plus, they can don adhesive mustaches and take a selfie with dad at the photo booth! It’s a surefire way to score lasting memories! “As we celebrate Father’s Day, it’s fitting to reflect on the profound examples of fathers in the Bible, who embody leadership, faith, strength and compassion.
