2025 Arizona Fine Art Photography Auction
A group of local fine art photographers will auction their work to ensure that a pioneer Arizona photographer will not be forgotten. Members of Arizona Photography Alliance have donated some of their most precious pieces to the 2025 Arizona Fine Art Photography Auction. Some have also donated silent auction items, including vintage cameras. Money raised at the May 16 auction will fund a new grave marker for George H. Rothrock.
Rothrock photographed Arizona’s people and landmarks from approximately 1876 into the early 20th century. It was recently discovered that his grave marker at Mesa Cemetery has deteriorated and is nearly illegible. “George H. Rothrock documented moments in Arizona history that would otherwise have been lost in the passing of time," said Arizona Photography Alliance President, Neil Miller. “Our members would like to do everything they can to ensure that he is properly remembered.”
The Arizona Fine Art Photography Auction will take place on Friday, May 16, 2025 beginning at 8:00 p.m. It will be held in the mood room gallery on the west side of Park Central 3121 N. 3rd Ave. Phoenix, AZ.
