FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel Presents New Exhibition at FOUND:RE Contemporary Jan. 19-April 14

FOUND:RE Contemporary at FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel, located at 1100 N. Central Ave., is pleased to announce the debut of its latest exhibition titled “Enuf.” Mexican-American Artist Francisco Enuf Garcia’s solo exhibition, “Enuf” debuts with an opening reception from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Jan, 19. It will remain on display through Sunday, April 14. “We are pleased to debut the unique works of the very talented Francisco Enuf Garcia,” says Chris Genung, general manager of FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel. “At the FOUND:RE, we are dedicated to supporting the vibrant local art community and to presenting art enthusiasts with one-of-a-kind pieces they can add to their collections.” The pieces in Garcia’s solo exhibition feature a unique blend of spray paint techniques with fine art studio practices. “Enuf” is inspired by the artist’s Chicano background; through his works, he examines the relationship between urban and fine art. “My artistic practice examines social, political and cultural issues, drawing inspiration from multicultural and Chicano history. I navigate the complex relationships between urban and fine art, referencing Mexican icons, social justice leaders, photographs and graffiti,” says Garcia. “Influenced by Mexican-Muralist and Meso-American art, I convey messages through diverse mediums. My creative journey involves cross-collaboration across various elements and mediums.” The exhibition will be hung in the studio space at FOUND:RE Phoenix. The space will double as a working studio for Garcia and patrons will have the opportunity to watch Garcia painting every week throughout the duration of the show. Details of Garcia’s complete live painting schedule is forthcoming. Garcia is a muralist artist currently based in Phoenix. In addition to FOUND:RE Contemporary, his work has been shown at Aspen Institute, Phoenix Art Museum, Tempe Public Library, ASU Downtown, and Xico Inc. He has painted murals across the country including at Art Basel Miami as well as in in numerous countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Netherlands, France, Spain, Canada and Mexico and joined the International Artist Residency in New Delhi, India. Some of his civic engagement art projects include collaborations with Public Allies, Opportunity Youth United, National Council of Young Leaders and New Deal for Youth, Clinton Global Initiative and Institution for Educational Leadership. His art has been featured on PBS, Fox News and CNN and in The Arizona Republic, New Times and various films such as “Dear Mama” on HULU (2023). The exhibition will be presented as part of FOUND:RE Contemporary’s regular schedule of rotating exhibitions organized by FOUND:RE Art and Culture Curator Jordan Zurn.
