FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel Partners with Skate After School for Free Community Skating Event MAY 13
Held in celebration of Skate After School’s 10-year anniversary (and to help fund the next 10 years!), the event is focused on the intersectionality of art and skateboarding and is open to the skating community, artists and art lovers of all ages. The event will also include an auction featuring custom-painted skate decks, with the majority of the proceeds benefitting Skate After School.
Founded in 2012, Skate After School (SAS) with support from donations supplies students with the equipment and protective gear necessary to participate in their after-school programs. Its team of trained volunteers leads instruction and ensures that fun and safety are top priorities. Skate After School awards annual summer camp scholarships to select students who join peers from all over the world at Woodward West in California for a week of skateboarding and mentorship. SAS also participates in community outreach events at Phoenix-area homeless shelters and refugee centers throughout the year.
