West African Music Performance With Storytelling
Arouna Diarra, originally from Burkina Faso, West Africa, is an accomplished n’goni, Kora, and balafon player. Together with his wife, Zaza Diarra, they perform traditional folk songs that reflect topics from war to building love for one another. They sing with spirit, nostalgia, and joy in their native languages, Bambara and Mossi.
