Chill Out at the Cool Summer Spectacular Hosted by Scottsdale Gallery Association
It might be hot outside, but it’s cool inside the many Scottsdale Gallery Association (SGA) member galleries which are participating in the upcoming Summer Spectacular Gold Palette ArtWalk. On Thursday, July 10 from 6:30-9 p.m., the SGA invites art enthusiasts to chill out as they celebrate summertime throughout the Scottsdale Arts District with cool refreshments and entertainment.
The Summer Spectacular Gold Palette Artwalk takes place along Main St. from Scottsdale Rd. to Goldwater Blvd. and north of Indian School Rd. on Marshall Way to 5th Ave., and inside participating Scottsdale Gallery Association member galleries. Guests can enjoy entertainment within the air conditioned spaces of these popular Old Town art galleries.
“Summertime gives many artists inspiration to create vibrant, stunning pieces that art lovers can enjoy in-gallery and take home to become part of their personal collections,” said SGA President Jinger Richardson. “We encourage the community to come take part in our Summer Spectacular and enjoy refreshing treats, lively entertainment and plenty of cool air conditioning!”
Galleries hosting events during the Summer Spectacular Gold Palette ArtWalk include:
Anticus
3922 N. Scottsdale Rd.
The gallery will be presenting a live demonstration and discussion on the link between stories and art. Gallery owner and sculptor Phillip Payne will be working on and explaining his new series, “The Wild Tree,” while discussing the artist’s search for inspiration. Guests can also enjoy a sneak preview into Payne’s trip to Italy as he seeks inspiration to create a sculpture honoring the spirit of Leonardo Da Vinci. Discussion and demonstration begins at 7:30 p.m. Drinks and light bites will be served.
Bonner David Galleries
7040 E. Main St.
As part of the Summer Spectacular ArtWalk, from 6-9 p.m., Bonner David Galleries proudly presents “A Painted Picnic,” a group exhibition celebrating the joys of the season through vibrant, playful works by gallery artists.
Carstens Fine Art Studio & Gallery

During the Summer Spectacular ArtWalk, Carstens Fine Art hosts “Paintings, Paintings and Lemonade,” a refreshing experience for art lovers!
On the Edge Gallery
7045 E. Main St.
During the ArtWalk, On The Edge Gallery hosts a Celebration of Artistry, during which guests can shop fine art, view original artwork and meet Arizona artists whose works are available for sale. The gallery will be open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. that day.
The Signature Gallery

Art enthusiasts are invited to beat the heat during a tranquil summer evening surrounded by visions of artistic beauty. During the ArtWalk, guests can explore a specially curated collection of paintings, sculptures and more from acclaimed artists.
Wilde Meyer Gallery

In honor of the Summer Spectacular ArtWalk, Wilde Meyer Gallery presents its “Summer Spectacular ArtWalk,” a group show that will be on display for the entire month with a reception from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the evening of the ArtWalk. Guests can preview artwork from popular gallery artists including Lawrence Lee, Trevor Mikula, Michael Casey and more. Light refreshments will be served.
The Scottsdale Gallery Association’s weekly ArtWalk, held most every Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. in partnership with the city of Scottsdale, highlights the finest art in Scottsdale featured throughout more than 30 galleries and two museums: Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West.
