Rockin' Docs for Diabetes Cure III, the 3rd annual benefit concert/fundraising event, will be held on Friday evening, May 10, 2013, at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PA, and is open to fans of all ages. All profits will benefit JDRF, the leading non-government funder of diabetes research.
The concert will feature four established local bands composed predominantly of doctor-musicians from several large hospital centers in the Philadelphia area. Rockin' Docs was conceived and created by Kenneth Einhorn M.D. and Jeremy Jaffe M.D. (himself diagnosed with type 1 diabetes over 20 years ago), both of whom are fathers of children with type 1 diabetes, with the goal that no family should ever have to deal with the pain and anxiety in learning a loved one will have to live with diabetes.
