One home, one revolution, two sides! Step back into the 1700s and hear the tales of those who lived in Woodford Mansion, a historic summer home. You will discover the story of the patriot George Clymer, a signatory of both the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution, and learn about the Franks Family, who sided with the British during the British occupation of Philadelphia.
Visit this National Historic Landmark from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on July 1, 2, 3, and 5 to learn about Woodford Mansion as a home to some of Philadelphia's most notable families and how they influenced our city and nation. You will discover how people lived during the period of the American Revolution through the Naomi Wood Collection of period antiques and 18th-century decorative arts, which adorns every room of Woodford Mansion.
Don't miss this jewel of Philadelphia history, and the opportunity to find out how those who lived at Woodford helped shaped history.
Woodford Mansion will be closed on Saturday, July 4, in commemoration of Independence Day.
$5 for adults, $3 for senior citizens, and $2 for children (ages 6-12).
